Thursday 16 March Emily competed at the Gateshead Open College Series tonight and had a great meeting. Six excellent shot put throws resulting in a best throw of 7.89m just outside her PB. The 60m followed and Emily ran a seasons best of 9.27s. Emily has had an outstanding indoor season . Shot put has come on absolutely fantastic thanks to her coaches Alex, Nichola and Adam. Long jump after an absence of nearly a year has been brilliant. Massive pbs great strength and speed on the runway . Really great. Thanks to Margaret. Emily’s 60m has been very solid . No pbs but every time Emily has ran times we’re getting better and better. Thanks to Janice and Margaret and Paul.
Emilys off skiing with school in Italy tomorrow so no athletics for a week. Then it’s a weeks preparation for Emily’s first outdoor competition . A throws festival in Monkseaton on April 9. Cheers
