Emily competed at this meeting at York yesterday in absolutely perfect conditions . No wind at all with at time bright sunshine and nice and warm. First time there for us and it’s a lovely place . Even the geese are friendly.
First up the discus. 6 throws and good solid throws with a new PB of 18.22m . The discus is new to Emily this season and it’s coming baling nicely. Plenty more to come.
Next up the 200m. As always a great start and fantastic bend pushing along the home straight to the finish line in a time of 31.90s.
Finally the shot put. Again in perfect conditions. And again 6 great throws with third round best throw of 8.30m.
Like I said a lovely venue. As always CP meeting are a very friendly place to compete , great to see fellow Gateshead Harrier Anna competing with Emily in preparation for the World Games in Barcelona in August. Great to catch up with great friends Paul and Fay who we will be sharing our house with in Barcelona . All in all a very good day. Next up Monkton meeting 23 May .
